As the COVID-19 continues to spread, it has a huge global economic impact. The closures of factories and offices and travel restrictions have made it urgent to rethink the consequences for multinationals like Apple. This article focuses on the challenges Apple faces in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. The article organizes the challenges through the value chain. Then it analyses various possible solutions and their advantages and disadvantages from the perspective of HR. The findings suggest that the fundamental activities and human resources aspects of Apple are significantly affected by the uncertainty of the COVID-19 epidemic. Apple needs to change the original suppliers for imports, change rules and retrain employees for ethical behaviour, develop digital outbound logistics management for outbound logistics, adjust current employees for sales, conduct online service training program for customer service, establish safety policies for employees’ safety, quantify performance appraisal indicators for performance appraisal and apply the sick leave tracking system for employee welfare.
